GENERAL SUMMARY:

The Personal Training Sales Manager plays a critical leadership role in delivering an exceptional member experience while driving Private Training and Supplement revenue. This position is ideal for a former or current certified personal trainer, or a highly motivated sales professional with a deep passion for health, wellness, and human performance.

The Personal Training Sales Manager leads from the front—selling, servicing, and overseeing the execution of personal training programs while supporting and supervising the coaching team. This role requires a strong communicator who enjoys building relationships, thrives in a sales-driven environment, and takes pride in helping members achieve life-changing results.

In addition to revenue generation, the Personal Training Sales Manager supports club operations, addresses member concerns, assists with employee relations, and ensures scheduling and timekeeping accuracy. This role requires flexible availability, including a mix of mornings, evenings, and weekends as needed to support member demand and business needs, and is accountable for meeting or exceeding Company revenue goals for Private Training and Supplements.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

1) Private Training & Small Group Training Sales and Service

• Actively sells personal training and small group training programs through an effective prospecting strategy, guest tours, and strong Turn-Over (TO) execution when needed.
• Conducts and services Introductory Personal Training packages, builds value, and re-signs clients into full training programs before handing them off to the coaching team.
• Engages in consistent in-person and digital member prospecting to generate complimentary consultations and training opportunities.
• Ensures accurate administration of client programs, supplement purchases, body composition measurements, and workout programming. Arrives on time, prepared, professional, and fully engaged for all appointments.
• Participates in and supports all revenue-generating initiatives including complimentary workouts, supplement tables, body composition events, seminars, workshops, and special promotions.
• Consistently achieves or exceeds monthly revenue goals for Private Training and Supplements as set by the Company.
• Reviews daily club sales performance and individual staff metrics in collaboration with the Fitness Manager, Vice President of Fitness, and coaching team to identify gaps and reinforce behaviors that drive results.
• Enforces Company sales policies, systems, and procedures to ensure consistency, compliance, and performance.
• Independently manages personal client scheduling, ensuring optimal time management, availability, and service quality.
• Coordinates directly with clients to schedule, reschedule, and confirm sessions, meetings, and consultations.
• Maintains accurate and up-to-date scheduling records, adjusting as needed for cancellations or changes.
• Oversees the full scheduling lifecycle for assigned clients to ensure a seamless, professional experience.

2) Club Administration and Leadership Support

• Partners with the Fitness Manager to ensure coaches remain productive, engaged, and aligned with daily, weekly, and monthly revenue and service expectations.
• Establishes and reinforces daily, weekly, and monthly performance goals that meet or exceed Company standards.
• Conducts structured meetings with coaches to review performance metrics, operational expectations, and sales execution, while providing direction, motivation, and accountability.
• Supports member service initiatives including club tours, service explanations, training agreements, and appointment setup.
• Addresses and resolves member concerns professionally and efficiently, escalating issues when appropriate.
• Performs administrative, organizational, and housekeeping duties within assigned areas as needed.
• Communicates facility repair and maintenance needs to Operations and conducts daily facility walk-throughs to ensure club standards are upheld.
• Supervises coach sales activity, reviews agreements, and prepares required daily paperwork.
• Ensures compliance with operational procedures through regular system checks and performance monitoring.

ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS:

The Personal Training Sales Manager reports directly to the Fitness Manager and/or General Manager. This role works closely with the coaching team and is responsible for communicating, reinforcing, and upholding all Company policies and procedures. Daily interaction with club members and staff is required.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

1) Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

• Strong working knowledge of personal training principles, including assessments, program design, client retention, and sales.
• Experience with, or strong working knowledge of, Mixed Martial Arts disciplines including Striking and Grappling is a significant advantage for MMA-focused roles, but is not required.
• Personal Training Certification or Experience is preferred but not required
• Ability to safely operate and adjust all fitness equipment.
• Working knowledge of Company policies, safety standards, and emergency procedures.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a positive, confident, and professional demeanor.
• Strong customer service orientation with the ability to build trust and rapport quickly.
• Clear verbal and written communication skills; ability to follow and give instructions effectively.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities.
• Computer proficiency, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Adherence to all meal and rest break requirements and accurate timekeeping practices.

2) Required Experience:

• Minimum of one personal training certification recognized by UFC Gym.
• Current CPR/AED certification.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Four-year degree in a related field recognized by UFC Gym (preferred).
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in personal training, sales, or fitness leadership.
• Prior experience in management or employee relations preferred.

3) Physical Requirements:

• Regularly required to stand, walk, and move throughout the club.
• Physical demands include lifting, squatting, bending, reaching, spotting, and prolonged standing.
• Must be able to frequently lift and/or move 45+ lbs.
Compensation: $85,000.00 - $165,000.00 per year
