Schedule: Weekdays and Weekends (Flexible Hours)
Pay: $[20]–$[25]/hour (based on experience)
About Fit Kids Club:
Fit Kids Club is Ventura County’s newest supervised play and movement space for children ages 4–12. Our mission is to create a fun, energetic, and safe environment where kids can build strength, confidence, and healthy habits through structured fitness and play. We believe that movement should be fun, age-appropriate, and inclusive!
Position Overview:
Fit Kids Club is seeking an enthusiastic and energetic Kids Fitness Instructor to lead engaging physical activity classes for children ages 4–12. You’ll design and deliver creative, fun, and safe fitness sessions that encourage teamwork, confidence, and movement. If you love working with kids, are passionate about fitness, and have a positive, playful personality—we want to meet you!
Responsibilities:
- Lead small-group fitness sessions and active games for kids ages 4–12
- Create weekly plans focused on movement, agility, balance, strength, and fun
- Modify exercises for various ages and abilities
- Ensure a safe and supportive environment at all times
- Set up and clean up equipment before and after each session
- Positively manage group dynamics and behavior
- Communicate with parents/guardians in a professional and friendly manner
- Collaborate with team to help grow the Fit Kids Club experience
Qualifications:
- Experience working with children (coaching, teaching, camp counselor, etc.)
- Background in fitness, education, early childhood development, or recreation
- Confident leading high-energy group activities
- CPR/First Aid certified (or willing to obtain before start)
- Must pass a background check
- Reliable, upbeat, and great with kids
Bonus Points For:
- Youth fitness or group fitness certification (NASM Youth, ACE, etc.)
- Experience in gymnastics, sports, dance, martial arts, or performance
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus
