Master Trainer / Territory Manager


Compensation: $30.00–$35.00 per hour for approved management and business-development responsibilities, plus separate Master Trainer session compensation, 5% commission opportunities, and potential territory-performance incentives

Schedule: Part-time, flexible hours; approximately 10–20 hours per week based on client demand and business needs

GYMGUYZ NW Washington is looking for a motivated Master Trainer / Territory Manager who can deliver exceptional client results while helping develop an assigned territory through client assessments, trainer leadership, organizational partnerships, community engagement, and business development.

This is a player-coach position. You will train clients, conduct assessments, develop programs, support trainers, pursue new B2C and B2B opportunities, and help strengthen the day-to-day performance of the territory.

The Master Trainer / Territory Manager plays a key role in expanding that reach while maintaining exceptional standards for training, client service, professionalism, and operational execution.

Compensation and Advancement

This position uses a blended compensation structure based on the responsibilities performed.

Management and Business-Development Pay

The initial rate for approved territory development, business development, program development, trainer support, meetings, required training, and administrative responsibilities is:

$30.00 per hour

Following a successful performance review and formal advancement into full Territory Manager responsibilities, the hourly rate may increase to:

$35.00 per hour

Advancement is based on demonstrated performance, certification completion, client-service results, sales activity, contract acquisition, leadership, operational competency, business need, and the financial sustainability of the position.

Master Trainer Session Pay

Compensation for completed assessments and training sessions is:

  • Client assessment: $50.00

  • Private training session: $50.00

  • Semi-private session with two clients: $51.00

  • Semi-private session with three or four clients: $52.00

  • Group class with five or more clients: $55.00

Commission Opportunity

The Master Trainer / Territory Manager is eligible to earn:

5% of qualifying collected revenue

Commission may apply to approved training-package sales and organizational contracts personally originated or materially developed and closed by the employee. Commission eligibility, attribution, and payment terms are governed by the applicable written commission plan.

Following advancement to full Territory Manager responsibilities, the employee may also become eligible for quarterly territory-performance incentives based on revenue growth, profitability, client retention, pipeline development, operational performance, and achievement of established goals.

Position Overview

The Master Trainer / Territory Manager is responsible for supporting client acquisition, service quality, trainer development, organizational partnerships, and revenue growth within an assigned territory.

This position combines advanced personal training responsibilities with sales, business development, community engagement, program development, trainer support, and territory operations.

What You’ll Do

Lead Training and Client Success

  • Conduct client assessments, consultations, and reassessments

  • Deliver private, semi-private, group, and organizational training sessions

  • Develop safe, individualized, and results-focused fitness programs

  • Present appropriate training recommendations based on client goals and needs

  • Support client retention, package renewals, referrals, and satisfaction

  • Maintain accurate client notes, progress reports, and program documentation

  • Mentor trainers in programming, assessments, client communication, and service delivery

  • Ensure every client receives a consistent and professional GYMGUYZ experience

Drive Sales and Territory Growth

  • Develop and execute owner-approved territory-growth strategies

  • Generate B2C and B2B opportunities through prospecting, networking, referrals, and community outreach

  • Contact and follow up with prospective clients and organizational decision-makers

  • Conduct assessments, discovery meetings, presentations, and sales conversations

  • Confidently communicate the value of GYMGUYZ services

  • Address objections and establish clear next steps

  • Assist with proposals, pilot programs, and partnership recommendations

  • Maintain an active sales pipeline and accurate follow-up records

  • Take ownership of assigned opportunities from initial contact through closing and onboarding

  • Track and report sales activity, assessments, conversions, contracts, and projected revenue

Build Community Partnerships

  • Develop relationships with businesses, schools, residential communities, senior communities, healthcare organizations, athletic programs, and local organizations

  • Generate corporate wellness, school fitness, senior fitness, and community-programming opportunities

  • Represent GYMGUYZ at networking events, health fairs, business meetings, and community initiatives

  • Build a strong referral network within the assigned territory

  • Increase local brand awareness through approved grassroots marketing and relationship development

  • Convert community relationships into long-term, revenue-producing partnerships

  • Support the launch and ongoing success of organizational accounts

Develop Trainers and Programs

  • Assist with the development of fitness, wellness, mobility, strength, athletic-performance, school, senior, and corporate programs

  • Create program outlines, progressions, lesson plans, and implementation standards

  • Train and mentor fitness professionals in programming, assessments, client service, and sales effectiveness

  • Review assessment outcomes, client feedback, and missed opportunities

  • Provide constructive coaching and reinforce accountability

  • Support trainers assigned to specialized programs and organizational accounts

  • Help maintain consistent documentation, safety, communication, and service standards

Support Territory Operations

  • Assist with trainer scheduling, service coverage, and client concerns

  • Support equipment accountability, maintenance, rotation, and inventory

  • Maintain accurate reporting on assessments, sales activity, partnerships, programs, and territory performance

  • Collaborate with ownership on staffing needs, territory priorities, and growth opportunities

  • Assist with local events, field marketing, and community visibility

  • Ensure professionalism and exceptional service in every client, trainer, and community interaction

What You Bring

  • Experience in personal training, strength and conditioning, fitness programming, sports performance, or a related field

  • Demonstrated leadership, coaching, or staff-development experience

  • Strong communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills

  • Confidence conducting client consultations and sales conversations

  • Willingness to prospect, network, follow up consistently, and ask for the sale

  • Strong organizational, time-management, and documentation skills

  • Ability to balance client service, sales, leadership, and administrative responsibilities

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, scheduling systems, and CRM platforms

  • Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license

  • Current CPR/AED certification

  • Nationally accredited personal training certification or the ability to obtain one within 12 weeks of hire

Preferred

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in exercise science, kinesiology, health and human performance, physical education, business, or a related field

  • Experience with B2B sales, partnership development, organizational presentations, or community engagement

  • Experience leading trainers, coaches, interns, or other fitness professionals

  • Experience developing curricula, programs, or scalable training systems

  • Experience working with schools, employers, senior communities, healthcare organizations, residential communities, or athletic programs
