Overview:

The General Manager holds complete responsibility for all aspects of club operations, focusing on revenue generation through membership sales and delivering exceptional customer service. This role is pivotal in ensuring that the club consistently meets or exceeds financial objectives through effective and inspiring leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

Team Recruitment and Development:

  • Engage in recruiting, interviewing, hiring, training, and managing teams to operate the club efficiently and support member needs.
  • Foster a positive and productive work environment by leading, mentoring, and developing staff to achieve their highest potential.
Membership Growth and Retention:

  • Lead efforts to drive club profitability with a strong emphasis on increasing membership levels and retaining current members by consistently delivering superior customer satisfaction.
  • Implement strategies to enhance member engagement and ensure a welcoming, community-focused environment.
Operational Management:

  • Strategically schedule staff to optimize club operations during peak and off-peak hours.
  • Oversee payroll processing, manage expense payments, and maintain accurate records of staff training and certifications.
  • Analyze financial metrics, including income, expenses, membership fees, and other operational costs, to identify opportunities for improvement and ensure the club’s profitability.
Facility Oversight:

  • Maintain the highest standards of operational excellence, ensuring that the club is clean, safe, and fully compliant with local and state regulations.
  • Regularly assess the facility to meet or exceed industry standards, addressing any issues promptly to maintain a top-tier fitness environment.
Qualifications:

  • Experience: Minimum 2 years of successful health club operations management experience preferred.
  • Proven Track Record: Demonstrated success in driving revenue and achieving financial targets.
  • Leadership: Extensive experience in hiring, directing, and training staff with a proven ability to lead and develop high-performing teams.
  • Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Personal Attributes: Energetic, personable, and enthusiastic with a strong work ethic and integrity.
  • Flexibility: Ability to work a flexible schedule, including holidays and weekends.
  • Multi-tasking: Capability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and effectively manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
Compensation: $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
